	"I'm sorry, but I don't want to be an emperor. That's not my business. I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. 遗憾得很，我并不想当皇帝，那不是我干的行当。我既不想统治任何人，也不想征服任何人。 I should like to help everyone if possible - Jew,Gentile - black man - white. 如果可能的话，我倒挺想帮助所有的人，不论是犹太人还是非犹太人，是黑种人还是白种人。 We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other's happiness - not by each other's misery. 我们都要互相帮助。做人就是应当如此。我们要把生活建筑在别人的幸福上，而不是建筑在别人的痛苦上。 We don't want to hate an despise one another. 我们不要彼此仇恨，互相鄙视。 In this world there's room for everyone and the good earth is ric and can provide for everyone. 这个世界上有足够的地方让所有的人生活。大地是富饶的，是可以使每一个人都丰衣足食的。 The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. 	More than achinery we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost. 我们更需要的不是机器，而是人性。我们更需要的不是聪明乖巧，而是仁慈温情。缺少了这些东西，人生就会变得凶暴，一切也都完了。

	The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together.

	The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in man - cries for universal brotherhood - for the unity of us all.

	Even now my voice is reaching millions hroughout the world - millions of despairing men, women, and little children - victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people.

	To those who can hear me, I say: 'Do not despair.' The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they ook from the people will return to the people. 	Soldiers! Don't give yourselves to brutes - men who despise you and enslave you - who regiment your lives - tell you what to do - what to think and what to feel!

	Who drill you - diet you - treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder. 他们强迫你们去操练，限定你们的伙食，把你们当牲口，用你们当炮灰。

	Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men - machine men with machine 你们别去受这些丧失了理性的人摆布了，他们都是一伙机器人，长的是机器人的脑袋，有的是机器人的心肝！

	minds and machine hearts! You are not achines! You are not cattle! You are men!You have the love of humanity in your hearts. You don't hate, 可是你们不是机器！你们是人！你们心里有着人类的爱！不要仇恨！

	only the unloved hate - the unloved and the unnatural! 只有那些得不到爱护的人才仇恨，那些得不到爱护和丧失了理性的人才仇恨！


	Soldiers! Don't fight for slavery! Fight for liberty! In the seventeenth chapter of St Luke, it is written the kingdom of God is within man not one man nor a group of men, but in all men! In you! You, the people, have the power - the power to create machines. The power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful - to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy - let us use that power - let us all unite. 	By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfil that promise. They never will! Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to fulfil that promise! Let us fight to free the world - to do away with national barriers - to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world f reason - a world where science and progress will lead to all men's happiness.
